Jourdain Tambo

Jourdain is an experienced compliance professional who previously worked as a regulatory adviser at another compliance consultancy. Jourdain specialises in FCA compliance, claims management compliance, data protection compliance (Data Protection Act 2018 and the GDPR) and direct marketing compliance (Privacy and Electronic Communications (EC Directive) Regulations 2003). Jourdain has been providing compliance support to consumer credit firms since the transfer from the OFT to the FCA and to claims management firms since 2014. Jourdain’s track record in consumer credit compliance includes successfully gaining authorisation for complex firms such as loan-based crowdfunding firms, debt management firms, logbook loan providers and high-cost short-term credit firms as well as moderately complex and straightforward business models such as secondary credit brokers. Jourdain’s has substantial experience of providing compliance support to CMCs ranging from assisting CMCs gain authorisation under the CMRU’s regime to conducting pre-regulator audits, making representations on behalf of CMCs subject to enforcement action and representing CMCs at regulator audits. Jourdain holds an LLB Law degree from Liverpool University and started his career in the regulated financial services working for Capita Plc as a Graduate Case Handler assessing PPI complaints on behalf of Lloyd’s Banking Group. Jourdain’s first hand complaints handling experience enables him to also provide our clients with bespoke complaints handling support to ensure that they fulfil their complaints handling requirements on an ongoing basis.
